Meet the Cast

Alex – The Entertainer

Alex focuses on the beauty in life. She trained in musical theater and dance for 8 years with Cannelloni School of Performing Arts before taking the role of host on Nosh. She adds a little extra flair to everything and strongly believes that food should look as good as it tastes. She loves learning how to plate and sees all food as art, even macaroni and cheese! Some might say that she’s a girly girl, and while she loves everything pink, she can also roll up her sleeves and take on kitchen prep with the best of them. She’s sassy and smart, and she’s got a serious sweet tooth.

Alex’s favorite food quote: “Life is short. Eat dessert first.” – Jacques Torres

Alex loves desserts and prefers to eat them before her meal! Whether it’s eclairs, macarons, pots de crème, mousses, or Crepes Suzette, she just can’t resist a sugar rush!

Favorite place to be – Paris, France

Taylor  – The Organizer

Taylor is straightforward and levelheaded. She always has a plan, but she’s also quite good at coming up with ideas on the fly. When she isn’t hosting Nosh, Taylor spends her time in cooking classes in some of the world’s culinary capitals – Los Angeles, London, Florence, and Tokyo. She’s been on the planning committee for every major school function since she was 7 (with a particular focus on the catering). In her spare time, she heads up the yearbook committee at Samosa Middle School and is the president of the Student Council. She brings freshly baked cookies to every meeting!

Taylor’s favorite food quote: “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”  – Virginia Woolf

Taylor likes simple foods prepared well. Steak medium rare, risotto that’s creamy, but not overcooked, and some thick slices of ripe heirloom tomatoes with a little bit of salt.

Favorite place to be – Buenos Aires, Argentina

Reece – The Imaginator

Reece is out there. He likes to push the envelope and try new things, like culinary fusion, combining textures, and funky new kitchen gadgets. He has great ideas, even if they’re not always achievable. Reece also loves to try his hand at molecular gastronomy. Last year, he was voted “Most Likely to Have His Lunch Mistaken for a Science Project.” And he’s convinced that entomophagy (eating bugs – gross!) is the wave of the future.

Reece’s favorite food quote:  “He was a bold man that first ate an oyster.”  – Jonathan Swift

Reece’s favorite food is a spider roll – a type of Maki sushi made of battered soft-shell crab, cucumber, avocado, and sprouts rolled inside nori and sushi rice with a side of spicy mayo.
